Streamline Taxis have been established in York since 1937, so with the benefit of more than 70 years experience in the business we have an unrivalled reputation as York's premier taxi company.
Below is a brief outline of our management team and who we are.

Dave Rhodes
Company Chairman
Dave has been a director of Streamline since 1984. He has been company chairman for almost all of the last 20 years and has also held the posts of shift supervisor and in charge of operations. He has recently passed NVQ/BTEC Level 2 Passenger Transport Award.
Dave's interests include pigeon racing, holidays in the sun and his other great passion, Streamline.
Dave's vision for Streamline's future is
When I started to work for Streamline we had 27 cars so the growth has been substantial. I would like to see us continue to grow with teamwork and maintaining our status as York's most reliable taxi company.

Mark Wilson
Office Manager
Mark has been with the company for 19 years and has been a director since 1994. He has recently been appointed as office manager, having previously held the post of company secretary since 1998. He has also been a shift supervisor and in charge of operations.
Mark was one of the first York taxi drivers to pass NVQ/BTEC Level 2 Passenger Transport Award. Mark's interests include music, Leeds United and riding his Harley Davidson.
Mark's vision for Streamline's future is
to ensure that Streamline maintains its very high standards of service and continues to evolve in all areas, so that customers can be assured that whatever their needs and requirements, Streamline can do it best.

Ray Close
Credit Controller
Ray has been a director at Streamline since 1999. He has held his post since 2006. Ray recently passed NVQ/BTEC Level 2 Passenger Transport Award.
Ray's interests include walking, music, football, cricket and cooking.
Ray's vision for Streamline's future is
I would like to see the company continue its growth. In the last four years the corporate side of the business has almost trebled and I believe we have achieved this through providing excellent services to our customers. I would love to see a similar growth in the next few years.

Bob Gilbert
Business Development Manager
Bob has been a director at Streamline since 1999. He has held his current post for more than ten years and has previously been evening shift supervisor. He has recently passed NVQ/BTEC Level 2 Passenger Transport Award.
Bob's interests are scuba diving, going to the gym and his family.
Bob's vision for Streamline's future is
I applied for the position of Business Manager in 2000 having worked in the public sector in various roles including the licensed trade. I enjoy my position very much and will always promote Streamline in order to continue to grow and improve.

We are constantly striving to improve our service to the public and this can be backed up by our commitment to driver training. We now have around 50 of our drivers who are qualified in Road Passenger Transport NVQ Level 2.
