Whether you are an experienced licensed taxi driver looking for a new challenge or just thinking about an application to become a taxi driver, make sure you call Streamline in the first instance. We are always looking to increase our fleet size and our shift patterns are flexible.

We will support you through the application process, and once licensed you will have the opportunity to be part of York’s elite private hire taxi company.

We booked a taxi a week ahead for a journey to a family funeral 80 miles away. Great service, helpful driver who arrived on time, comfortable car, and took the stress out of what could have been a difficult day. The app is great to track bookings and progress, and my initial telephone enquiry and later call to slightly amend the journey details were dealt with courteously.

I called for a taxi at 9:30; our driver arrived a minute or so early so we were driving off at the reserved time. He was also cheerful and friendly. Very fair price for the distance. Recommended!

Outstanding service wasted no time in rescuing us after our car broke down on a miserable cold wet Sunday where my stress levels were off the scale. The driver( sorry did not get his name) was a delight , chatting away and knowledgeable could not do enough to assist us. If there was more than 5 stars u earned it 100% recommendation.

My daughters and I were on our first visit to York and on departing our apartment thought it best to leave our luggage at ‘left luggage’ at the train station for the day as our train wasn’t until late afternoon.Given suggested taxi firms to call by the apartment owner left phone numbers of taxi firms. My first call to a taxi firm told me it would be an hour so was very pleased when I called yourselves and told one would be shortly.On arrival our driver pleasantly left the taxi and called name and assisted us with our luggage. On conversation to the station it was mentioned that we were leaving our luggage at left luggage and our driver very kindly took us to the door which was much appreciated. Again he kindly assisted with our cases.A good experience all round so thank you and to the driver.The Souter family from Aberdeen.

I had an excellent experience with this taxi company, in one of their large, minibus taxis, not a limousine. My taxi arrived only 5 minutes after I’d rang up to request it, and my driver (Simon) couldn’t have been more helpful to me. I have mobility issues, you see, and he was very patient and caring when I was getting in and out of the taxi. He was sociable, too. Highly recommended!
